E-Learning
E-learning can be defined as 'The delivery of content, via all electronic
media, including the Internet, intranets, extranets, satellite, broadcast,
video, interactive TV and CD/DVD Rom'.
Many types of material are claimed to be examples of e-learning. These
include simple electronic versions of traditional paper materials (e.g
Word documents or PDF's), computer based training and fully interactive
material housed within a managed learning environment.
I believe that e-learning material should be intuitive, interactive and stimulating as well as offering pedagogical value to the subject it is delivering.
I have extensive experience in developing e-learning material and have
been lucky to be involved in many exciting and unique developments.

Completed Projects
GFN-SSR Learning Materials (accredited and non accredited).
Flash based interactive lessons developed to promote a wider understanding
of the key issues in Security Sector Reform. The lessons consist of background
reading, activities to promote and reinforce the users understanding, assessment via multiple choice questions with feedback and a course summary.
Scuba Diving Principles.
Developed to allow Scuba Diving students to understand the complex theories
and principles they need to grasp in order to safely enjoy their sport.
Interactive animations are used to allow students to play, repeat and
review the subject matter and accompanying supportive text.
ITE.
Flash animation project comprising of 18 separate technical animations,
designed for distribution over the web. Students on the ITE course login
to the ITE web site and work through the animations and integrated exams
at their leisure.
MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd.
ECAM Presentation - A CD and web based project,
developed for MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd for the Electronically Controlled
Air Management (ECAM) system. The concept was to design an animation
to aid the existing 'human' training course and provide
a reference that the students could use after the course was completed.
